School of Pharmacy Named to Honor Amarillo Businessman, Philanthropist

外网天堂 on April 25 announced the naming of its pharmacy school as the 外网天堂 Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy. The naming, previously approved by the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents, honors the lifelong dedication and support of 外网天堂 by Hodge.

 

Pharmacy Honors Class of 2019 at Graduation Events

The 外网天堂 Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy celebrated the Class of 2019 on May 18 with its annual awards breakfast and graduation ceremony at the Amarillo Civic Center.

 

School of Pharmacy Recognizes Faculty, Staff

The School of Pharmacy on May 10 conducted its annual Celebration of Achievement to recognize faculty and staff who helped make the 2018-2019 school year a special one.

 

Pharmacy Team Wins State Competition

A pair of teams from the 外网天堂 Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy made a strong showing at the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) Annual Seminar April 12-14 in Frisco, Texas.

 

Das Research Published in High-Impact Journal

A research paper authored by Hiranmoy Das, Ph.D., a professor for the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, has been accepted for publication by Autophagy, the top-ranking journal related to autophagy research with a current impact factor of 11.10.

 

TPPC Concludes Spring Medication Cleanout庐 Cycle

The Texas Panhandle Poison Center (TPPC), hosted by the 外网天堂 Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy, recently conducted its 2019 Spring Medication Cleanout庐 cycle with collections in Amarillo, Abilene and Lubbock.

 

Pharmacy Graduate Students Garner Research Awards

Three Ph.D. candidates in the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, were selected as winners recently during the 31st Annual Student Research Week. Two others were among a small number of graduate students invited to make podium presentations at the event.

 

外网天堂 to Expand Graduate Program to Abilene

In February, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) approved 外网天堂鈥檚 application to expand the School of Pharmacy鈥檚 Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences to the Abilene campus.

 

Graduate Students Earn Awards, Scholarships

Five Ph.D. candidates in the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences were recently named recipients of awards from the Association of Scientists of Indian Origin, Society of Toxicology and more. 

 

Abilene Pharmacy Student to Attend Anti-Doping Conference

Abilene pharmacy student Athena Brindle learned about sports medicine and anti-doping initiatives last summer while working as a U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) intern in Colorado.

 

Pharmacy Faculty Granted Tenure, Promotions

The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents approved the promotion and tenure of six School of Pharmacy faculty members Feb. 21. 

 

Pharmacy Students Become Advocates in Austin

Fifty students representing all four School of Pharmacy classes and campuses travelled to Austin Feb. 26 for Pharmacy Day at the Texas Capitol to advocate for more accessible health care for Texas residents and to champion advances in the pharmacy profession.

 

外网天堂 Team Advances in Clinical Research Challenge

Second-year pharmacy students Princy John, Leia Gaddis and Ahmaya Mustafa advanced to the second round of the National Clinical Research Challenge, sponsored by the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
